Charitable Organizations We Help and Support

  • Habitat For Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a non–profit, ecumenical Christian partnership of concerned people that builds with and sells affordable homes to hardworking low–income families. We all work together to give Habitat families a “hand up” not a “handout” because everyone deserves a simple, decent and affordable place to live.
  • Skills USA
SkillsUSA is an applied method of instruction for preparing America’s high performance workers enrolled in public career and technical programs. It provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. It builds and reinforces self–confidence, work attitudes and communications skills. It emphasizes total quality at work—high ethical standards, superior work skills, life–long education, and pride in the dignity of work. SkillsUSA also promotes understanding of the free–enterprise system and involvement in community service.
  • Make A Wish Foundation
The Make–A–Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life–threatening medical conditions through its wish–granting work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life–changing impact that a Make–A–Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
  • Long Island 2 Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer
The Long Island 2 Day Walk is organized to raise awareness and funding for the fight against breast cancer on Long Island. 100% of the donations raised by the participants are distributed to grassroots service organizations so the funds reach the members of the Long Island community affected by breast cancer.
  • Universal Design Long Island
Universal Design LI is a project of the Suffolk Community Council, and is supported by many of Long Island’s government officials, social service agencies, architects, designers, retailers, and building industry companies. Greater implementation of Universal Design allows residents to live longer in their homes, remain active longer in their communities and enjoy greater independence, autonomy and quality of life amidst their families.
